There is possibly nothing more personal in sampler than those commemorating the family. In this case the Children of Benjamin & Mary Potter of Warnham in West Sussex. This sampler worked by Mary the oldest child and only daughter. We particularly like the two short verses.
Mary born 3.8.1814 the daughter of Benjamin & Mary framers of Warnham she married fellow farmer William Nash in 1849 .she died aged 87 in 1902.
Retaining its original oak frame measuring 14 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches.
Condition a few minor holes.
