  LOUISA BANGER, CRESCENT ROAD SCHOOL RAMSGATE, c.1875 £......  
Louisa Banger produced a classic school sampler in traditional red thread with the alphabets in lower and upper case letters , a short verse and a number of spot motifs personal to her.
Born in 1866 in Pegwell the daughter of Sarah & Samuel a Potted Shrimp manufacture . The 1881 census has Louisa & her farther visiting their married older sister in Hammersmith where she possibly meet her future husband Phillip Limbragh Townsend a milk dairyman. They had five children unusual for the times the first Aubrey Edward some two years before their marriage in 1888. She died aged 70 in 1936.
In 1881 there were at least four private schools listed in Crescent Road Ramsgate.
