A delightful sampler that has it all, a different border has been worked across the top & bottom to the sides, a short verse across the top and numerous spot motifs. At the bottom a large Adam & Eve stand beneath the apple tree that its self has a garland of leaves over it. Either side a red house and a farmer with his cow, possibly a representation of Mary's home and fathers work.
Framed with a period maple frame with gilt wood slip.42 x 60 cm.
