Often called "Hairworks" but in fact worked in black silk , copying contempory engravings of the time. in this case An elegant eighteenth-century print of Lambeth Palace from the river. Engraved by Joseph Collyer and originally produced for John Noorthouck’s “A New History of London” (London : 1773).
