Sometimes its not just the object that is of interest. This simple double strap creamware cup of circa 1795, has lost its saucer and has a few chips.
Its came from the "Saracens House" collection and has presumably there purchase label to the base for £15, many will recognise the hand writing of Anna Woolsey of Libra Antiques, off Kensington Church Street . Stock number A71 so from her first year of trading I think late 1970s Oh those were the days of Portobello Road etc. |
