A rare 5 piece 15th Century Gothic Medieval roof boss. These were used to cover the join of two smaller beams . The four corners fitting in the space between the beams and the central boss covering the join.
English. circa 1450-1500.
Wonderful dry surface.
Found in Suffolk, and probably local to the country. |
