A rare and unusual piece of Scottish spongeware pottery. Originally a soap dish although more useful today as a pen tray. Central image of a fallow deer standing between two trees. The double border of flower and leaves all in a blue mauve colour.
Scottish, circa 1900.
length 19 cm.
Condition near perfect. a couple of flee bite chips to underside rim. |
