An interesting Teabowl & saucer commemorating Thomasin Porritt, incorrectly spelt on the item. Now most people celebrate the birth or baptism with a glass of Ale or Wine , not tea so perhaps the Porritt's were abstainers , we will never know. Thomasin was born in 1789 and baptized 17.11.1790 in Liverton , York. Named after her father Thomas (Mother Mary) she married Thomas Pressick 26.12.1810. Appently a Ship owner living in Maine-row , Hull, and later Southcoate.
