A wonderful late 18th century Naïve Primitive oil on canvas of a young girl in blue holding two apples. Painted on canvas and retaining its original oak stretcher. painted by a competent hand with a great deal of detail in the lace collars and cuffs but retaining a naïve look.
The back inscribed and dated 1795.
46 x 55.5 cm.
Condition as can be seen on the back there has been some historic restoration a number of patches cover small holes. There was also a short tear above her head. two small later areas of damage to front surface.
