Very few country potters, joined up in a commercial enterprise with the big city,( I know a number tried with varying degrees of success with art pottery) but in 1907, the Verwood potters of Dorset produced a number of tiny Costrels for the influential store Liberty's as well as the Lavender growers of River Hill & Co. of Broadstone Dorset for there lavender water / oil. |
