Some times its the simple things that make one smile, this classic George III period box with its blue lining would be nice at any time, but this example made of pine retains its original painted oak finish, and so reminds us of the price difference at the time of the different wood. Had it been made of oak it would now have darkened with age but has instead mellowed slightly. |
