Rare and popular print , The pattern known as SPRINGER SPANIEL, shown chasing a wood cock.. Wide floral border pattern.
Has been attributed to Ralph Stevenson by a label by the author W.L.Little on the plate he illustrated as being known with the impressed Stevenson mark.
Based on a print that appeared in The sportsman Cabinet of 1803.
The plate dates to about 1820. Is in nea5r perfect condition a very tiny glaze frit to the top edge. No restoration.
10 inch dinner plate.
