148 years ago today a little girl, Ida Sophia Ivory was born to Henry & Eliza Ivory. He, a Machinist from Weston in Hereford-shire living at 79 The High Street. The event commemorated by this rare birth sampler, possibly by her mother. Like many young women she went into service as a housekeeper, first for her Uncle before becoming a School Governess.
