A bronze harnes badge decorated in relief with three lions passant guardant in gold on a red ground, known as Gules and used, borne alone from Richard I to Edward III, 1198-c.1340.This would have been used by a member of the Royal family rather than the monarch, found in a field in Kent, lost on a pilgrimage to Canterbury or on route to the Crusades, we may never know , but still real history
