A rare early blue & white side plate from the COURSING Series. These depict a A series of hare coursing prints, based on prints after Howitt published in 1798 and reprinted by Edward Orme in 1812.
In this case we have the hare crouched on a bank amongst bushes with the dogs in the foreground. Horse and riders behind.
Attributed to Tams & Co, circa 1820.
8 3/4 inch plate 22.4 cm.
Condition good no chips cracks or restoration.
