BOOKS, New, Old and schoolwork
We will endeavour to hold a stock of both new and out of date books that both relate to and are about needlework. Inaddition, through our particular interest in Schoolwork samplers we love the exercise books and working albums of children. They are important reference works for both the educational and social position of the children. They are becoming increasingly rare to find as many have been either brocken up with the samplers removed or just thrown away as mealy old school books. Dateing from the early 19th century they are important represntation of school room exercise upto and into the 20th Century.
